Rachael's Nosheri is a deli, and a pretty good one at that. Sticking out like a sore thumb amidst all the generic restaurants, Rachael's is one enjoyable sore thumb! It's an old fashioned, no frills, unpretentious restaurant where one goes looking for some comfort food and nothing else. On their menu you'll find everything from sandwiches, hoagies, soups, salads, wraps, bagels... the works, really! Try the Hot Rueben w/ Corned Beef ($7.50), Meatball Whopper ($7.25), Matzo Ball Soup ($3.50), Whitefish Salad Sandwich ($8.75) etc. They also have a breakfast menu that's served until 11 am.
The portions are generous enough, food is always fresh and has that home cooked feel to it that we all always love, the menu is extensive and service is super quick and friendly.
This deli definitely has the communal aspect going on, people from all walks of life are brought together by their one common interest in finding some basic, well cooked, tasty food.

Otto's Brauhaus - Horsham

Profile Order Online Locations Reviews

Otto’s Brauhaus features traditional German specialties and American cuisine.
The highlight of this restaurant, like any German establishment is their awesome beer selection. With over 20 types of taps and bottles, including beers with names that some of us can't even
pronounce, this place is like the Disneyland of beers! The pseudo beer garden is very enjoyable and a unique touch to the decor. An absolute treat to be sitting on the patio with a huge sausage sampler and a Weiss beer with Bavarian Accordion music in the background. A great place to meet friends on a casual night.
Otto's offers a huge breakfast menu making it very easy for people to enjoy the most important meal of the day. Down a few cups of coffee and its a bright start to the day! Otherwise, definitely sample some of the German classics like the assortments of Wurst and Schnitzel or the Kartoffel Salad.

Karma - Olde City

Profile Order Online Locations Reviews

This restaurant has earned it's share of accolades. , voted Best of Philly 2004 Indian Restaurants - Philadelphia Magazine, termed 'one of the top new restaurants in 2004' also by the same magazine and countless raving reviews from their fan following. All these laurels don't come easy, obviously Karma has managed to withstand all the challenges that typically decide the fate of a restaurant.

The food is unarguably some of the best Philly has ever seen. The lunch buffet is a steal at $9.95 considering the extravagant 30 itemed layout. The ambience of the restaurant is nice without being pretentious, quite relaxing. Service is quick, efficient and courteous. And the naan, well, the naan at this restaurant is legendery! Must not leave without having the buttery, soft, chewy, warm, perfect lasooni naan!

Some other classics are Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Biryani and Lamb Roganjosh. They serve a number of yummy vegetarian choices as well.

Hummus Restaurant

Profile Order Online Locations Reviews

Hummus, as the name suggests, is a neat little Middle Eastern restaurant on Walnut St and serves as a welcome break from the usual offerings in that area.
First things first, the hummus served at Hummus is very garlic-y. Works well for people who like their hummus that way, but if garlic isn't your thing then you might not enjoy their signature offering so much.

The falafel platter is good. The falafel balls were flavorful and not too dry. The one thing that EVERYONE will vouch for at this restaurant is the freshness of ingredients. You can bet your last falafel ball that the salad you're served is super fresh. And the pita bread is a winner too, warm, fluffy and D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S.

Don't be flummoxed by the myriad options, know that you can always keep coming till you try it all! There is no other place for a more wholesome and healthy meal. Go on, head for some med!

City Garden

Profile Order Online Locations Reviews

In a city brimming over with Chinese restaurants, there is always place for just one more. City Garden, a Chinese take away, delivery and dine in restaurant located in corner of 18th & JFK Blvd is yet another place to go for some instant Chinese fix.

This one is a standard Chinese restaurant serving the usual fare. You'll find all the regulars on the menu, wantons, General Tso's, Chicken w/ broccoli (which is pretty good, btw) along with plenty of vegetarian and seafood items. The food though nothing to write home about, isn't bad either. Lunch specials are priced between $6.75 to about $11,50 and items are served with steamed rice while some others are served with fried rice and egg roll. The one great thing about City Garden is that almost all dishes can be changed to steamed versions. Also, there's a little bar in the corner and they always have a nice collection of beers that could go very well with your dinner.

Nooddi - Thai Chef

The first Nooddi - Thai Chef restaurant was opened some seven years ago and there's been no looking back for restaurant owners Nick Sira and his wife Nadia Lay. Nooddi, which happens to beThai slang for a variety of noodle, is a BYOB and offers a wide range of Asian and Thai dishes along with some sushi entrees.

The Nooddi restaurants have got it all... lunch or dinner, dine in, take out or delivery and traditional Thai dishes or some fusion Asian dishes. For the daring there is the 'winning alligator', which is a deliciously prepared sliced alligator cooked with vegetable and herb sauce. There are some other wacky dishes like 'the wild boar' and 'young girl on fire', which isn't to be taken too literally! Or just be predictable and have Pad Thai or some Pho! Whatever your thing, you can't go wrong at Nooddi's.

Nooddi Thai Chef is in 3 locations.

    Good food great price

Win Wah's food is as good as most. Not exceptional by any means, but the pricing is terrific. You can feed a family of 4 for $20-$25., I have no idea how they do it. Takeout is quick good place.

    Very Good Food........

Food is very good. They use fresh vegtables and food is usually consistent. Have been eating there for 20 years. This is the 3 rd closest Chinese food near me and its worth the extra drive. The inside needs an update. 9 out of 10 times I order take out. Best egg rolls I have ever eaten!

    Best Hot & Sour Soup!

Pretty good food overall, a little greasy sometimes. Service is good, but sometimes, when you call to place an order it seems like they are annoyed that you are calling. I put up with it for the soup.

  • Win Wah is a clear winner in terms of their pricing. Lunch specials are all priced between $4.95 - $6.95. If you are in Conshohocken, its a great lunch option. If you're not, maybe you shouldn't worry too much about it. Win Wah's food is as good as most, but not exceptional by any means.
It's a great take out option, highly affordable and the food is pretty good, overall. Try the egg rolls, one of their most selling items. They also offer some steamed dishes for the health conscious.

The interiors are pleasant and comfortable. The dimly lit dining room can comfortably seat about 60 people. Service is friendly and prompt.

Oh and the prices get even better with the 5% discount that Zuppler is offering on all online orders!

    Jo Jo Place

    Profile Order Online Locations Reviews

JoJo Place is the place to be for some good old Chinese food in the Philadelphia area. The crab rangoon and eggrolls are hands down one of the best you will find anywhere. All of the fresh beef, chicken and shrimp are the best parts of the meat – cooked tender. The shrimp is fresh, clean and deveined.

All of JoJo Place’s sauces are delicious and flavorful. JoJo does not add too much sauce and the sauce they do add is not too thick. Not too thick. Not too much. Just perfect! Delivery is quick and easy and the food is delivered at the best quality – piping hot and tasty!

The one bone of contention we have with jojo's? Their timings! They're open only till 9 pm on weekends and 9:30 pm on weekdays. So, if they happen to be open, it's the best Chinese take out food you'll have in a long time.

    Paolo Gourmet Pizzeria

    Profile Order Online Locations Reviews

Paolo Gourmet Pizzeria was earlier featured on our "Quest for the Perfect Pizza" entry. But Paolo's definitely deserves an exclusive! Read on...

The pizzas at Paolo are the thin crust, crispy variety. Those looking for the Chicago deep dish pizzas or the greasy Greek style variety should probably give this a miss. The crust at Paolo's is crisp, firm, thin, topped with a good amount of sauce and cheese, nicely baked, and well-spiced. The slices are large and delicious and come in a variety of toppings. The calzones and sandwiches too are worthy of mention here. Good variety and in big, meaty sizes too.

You could even get yourself a beer at Paolo's. Grab a seat outside on a summer day, eat your pizza and drink some beer, your day is made!

For those who love Neapolitan thin crust pizzs, Paolo's should be your holy shrine! And we love that we can get whole wheat crust for a dollar.
